1. About This Portal

This portal is operated by The Heron Leaseholders Residents Association ("the Association", "we", "us") for residents, leaseholders, and building staff at The Heron, 5 Moor Lane, London EC2Y 9BB. It provides access to community news, events, polls, financial data, and building management tools.

Accounts are approved manually by the committee. We reserve the right to decline or revoke access at our discretion.

3. Your Account

Access is granted via a magic link sent to your registered email address. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure. Do not share your access link. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at admin@heronleaseholders.com.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use this portal only for lawful purposes related to life at The Heron. You must not:

  • Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, or harassing.
  • Share or distribute information from this portal to those not entitled to access it.
  • Attempt to access areas of the portal beyond your permitted role.
  • Use the portal for commercial solicitation or any purpose unrelated to the building community.

5. Content and Moderation

Content published through this portal (including wiki pages and project comments) may be reviewed and moderated by elected members of the Association committee. The committee may edit, remove, or restrict any content that violates these terms or is otherwise deemed inappropriate, without prior notice.

You retain responsibility for content you post. By posting, you grant the Association a non-exclusive licence to display that content within the portal.

6. Polls and Voting

Voting on polls is available to leaseholders only, in line with the governance structure of the Association. Poll results may be used by the committee to inform decisions but do not constitute a binding vote unless explicitly stated. Results are visible to all logged-in members after a poll closes.

7. Financial Data

Section 22 service charge data, audited accounts, and related financial information are made available to leaseholders for transparency purposes under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. This data must not be reproduced or distributed outside the Association without committee approval.

8. Privacy

Your use of this portal is also governed by our Privacy & GDPR Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

9. Termination of Access

Your access will be deactivated if you cease to be a resident or leaseholder at The Heron, or if you breach these terms. You may also request removal of your account at any time by contacting admin@heronleaseholders.com.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the portal following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Significant changes will be communicated via the News section.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
